Abstract

Although a significant aftermath of the Cold War was the establishment of a remarkable series of security policies and actions in Europe and it's periphery in general, scholars admit that those policies were manly focused on Central, Eastern Europe and the Balkans which virtually neglected the Mediterranean basim- thereby relagating it to the margins.
