Διαχείριση αποβλήτων των παραγωγικών μονάδων στην περιοχή του Ασωπού ποταμού

Abstract

Τα απόβλητα των βιομηχανικών και λοιπών παραγωγικών μονάδων αποτελούν ένα από τα σημαντικότερα περιβαλλοντικά προβλήματα και στη χώρα μας με κοινωνικές και οικονομικές επιπτώσεις. Η διαχείρισή τους απαιτεί δράσεις και ενέργειες συντονισμένες σε εθνικό και επίπεδο ευρωπαϊκό. Η συνεχώς αυξανόμενη ποσότητά τους ακολουθεί τους ρυθμούς της οικονομικής ανάπτυξης. Οι πιέσεις που ασκούν στο περιβάλλον, με τις όποιες επιπτώσεις, καθιστούν επιτακτική την ανάγκη εφαρμογής μιας διαχείρισης στα πλαίσια της αειφόρου ανάπτυξης. Στην εργασία αυτή εξετάζεται η διαχείριση των αποβλήτων των παραγωγικών μονάδων στην ευρύτερη περιοχή του Ασωπού ποταμού. Πρόσθετη επιδίωξη είναι να παρουσιασθούν οι προτεινόμενες δράσεις διαχείρισης των αποβλήτων, σύμφωνα με τις επιταγές της Κοινοτικής και Εθνικής νομοθεσίας, ώστε οι παραγωγικές μονάδες της περιοχής να γίνουν πηγές τόνωσης της τοπικής και εθνικής οικονομίας και όχι εστίες μόλυνσης του περιβάλλοντος και της ανθρώπινης υγείας. Η περιοχή του Ασωπού, με τη σωστή διαχείριση των αποβλήτων, πρέπει να αποτελεί παράδειγμα προς μίμηση και όχι προς αποφυγή σε εθνικό και διεθνές επίπεδο.

The industrial waste as well as the waste of the rest of the production units constitutes one of the most vital environmental issues in our country with economic and social implications. Their management demands coordinated actions in national and European level. The increasing quantity of the above mentioned waste, especially during the recent years, follows the rapid rhythm of the economic growth. The yielded pressure on the environment, which is likely to have any kind of implications, renders the need for the implementation of waste management within sustainability development framework absolutely indispensable. The present assignment examines the waste management of the productions units within the broader area of the Asopos River. An additional pursuit seems to be the presentation of the suggested actions of waste management, in accordance with the requirements of the national as well as the European legislation, so as for the production units of the region to become stimulating sources of the local and the national economy and not pollution sources of the environment and the human health. The area near Asopos, with proper waste management, is necessary to constitute an example to imitate and not to avoid in national as well as international level.
