dc.description.abstractΣτις μέρες μας, η ρύπανση και τα αέρια που εκπέμπουν από τα οχήματα αυξάνεται δραματικά ως εκ τούτου οι αισθητήρες NOx είναι απαραίτητα για την παρακολούθηση της ποιότητας του αέρα και εμείς να γνωρίζουμε ακριβώς τη διάσταση του προβλήματος.Σκοπός μας είναι να δημιουργήσουμε μια συσκευή αισθητήρα αερίου που μπορεί να ανιχνεύσει μικρές συγκεντρώσεις των NOx (NO, NO2) αέρια.el_GR
dc.description.abstractIn our days the pollution and the gasses that emitting from the vehicles is increasing dramatically therefore the NOx sensors are necessary in order monitoring the air quality and know exactly the dimension of the problem.Our purpose is to create a gas sensor device that can detect small concentrations of NOx (NO, NO2) gases. In order to do that, we synthesized MOS (Metal Oxide Semiconductor) thin films deposited by Electrostatic Spray Deposition (ESD) on an insulating substrate that have been coated with Platinum electrodes by sputtering. Our samples are based on tungsten oxide due to its properties as gas sensor material and especially the modification of its electrical properties when it is exposed to certain kind of gases. In our case, the sensor response lied in a variation of the resistance value when the sample gets in contact with NOx gases.el_GR
