Σχεδίαση φωτιστικού από τσιμέντο

Abstract

Το τσιμέντο είναι ένα υλικό σύγχρονο το οποίο χρησιμοποιείται κατά κόρον στις κατασκευές. Μέσω της λογικής του DIY και λόγω των απεριόριστων δυνατοτήτων που προσφέρει, η χρήση του έχει επεκταθεί και σε έπιπλα και παντός είδους αξεσουάρ διακόσμησης, όπως είναι τα φωτιστικά. Ο αντικειμενικός σκοπός της εν λόγω διπλωματικής εργασίας είναι να σχεδιαστεί ένα φωτιστικό με βασικό υλικό το τσιμέντο, λαμβάνοντας υπόψη τόσο τις τεχνολογίες και τεχνικές φωτισμού, όσο και την τεχνολογία του ίδιου του υλικού, να καταγραφούν όλα τα στάδια που απαιτούνται, από την έρευνα μέχρι και την υλοποίηση και να προταθεί ένα τελικό προϊόν. Παρακάτω ακολουθεί ανάλυση όλων των στοιχείων που θα ληφθούν υπόψη κατά τον σχεδιασμό. Στο κεφάλαιο ι γίνεται εισαγωγή στη θεματική της διπλωματικής εργασίας και μελετώνται όλες οι συνθετικές αρχές που θα διέπουν το υπό σχεδίαση σύστημα, αλλά και οι κατευθυντήριες γραμμές που θα ακολουθηθούν. Στο κεφάλαιο ιι αναλύεται η τεχνολογία του υλικού (τσιμέντο) προσπαθώντας να δοθεί απάντηση στο τι είναι, τι κάνει, τι εκφράζει και τι εκμαιεύει βάσει της material driven προσέγγισης. Στο κεφάλαιο ιιι μελετάται και αναλύεται η υπάρχουσα τεχνολογία φωτισμού, ενώ στο κεφάλαιο ιv αναλύονται τα ανταγωνιστικά συστήματα. Στο κεφάλαιο v, γίνεται προσπάθεια εφαρμογής της έρευνας στην πράξη προτείνοντας τρία concept και επιλέγοντας το τελικό που αναλύεται εκτενέστερα.

Cement is a modern material, used extensively in buildings and other structures. Through the DIY philosophy and the endless possibilities, it offers, the use of this material has expanded in furniture design and house accessories, such as lighting fixtures. The aim of the thesis is to design a lighting system embodying cement as the basic material, taking into account the lighting technology and the lighting techniques, as well as the technology of the material, investigating and identifying all stages and phases, from researching to implementing a final product. Overall, an analysis of all the elements to be taken into account in design is being carried. Chapter ι serves as an introduction to the topic of the thesis and presents the synthetic principles of the system which is being designed including the guidelines to be followed. In chapter ιι, the technology of the material (cement) is being analyzed, attempting to classify the material for what it is, what it does, what it expresses and what it elicits from us, based on a material driven design approach. Chapter ιιι, studies and analyzes the current lighting technology, whereas in chapter ιv competing systems are being recorded and discussed. In chapter v, an attempt is being made to implement research into practice by proposing three concepts and opting out the ones that do not fit the criteria of the general project. In conclusion, a final concept which addresses best the needs and requirements of this thesis is selected and thoroughly described.
