dc.description.abstractThis research aims at highlighting the importance of the integration of theatrical techniques in the educational process, based on the experiences and beliefs of both teachers and students. Particularly, the subject under study focuses on the possibility of utilizing theatrical techniques in the teaching of physical education in primary school, in order to cultivate social skills and attitudes, and achieve a wider educational outcome in the context of experiential learning. The current research endeavors to record the application of theatrical techniques in primary education, the benefits deriving from it, and the overall objectives of the Cross Thematic Curriculum Framework of physical education, achieved through the utilization of theatrical techniques in the learning process. The research was conducted by using the following data collection tools: a short questionnaire, observation, and group interviews. Participants of this research were the students of the 4th grade of the 6th primary school of Rhodes. The experiences of these students were treated as data for this research and were analyzed by the school’s physical education teacher. The data analysis yielded positive results regarding the educational climate, the experiential way of learning, and the differentiation from the traditional way of both teaching and learningen_US
