Σχεδιασμός επίπλου, γραφείου πολλαπλών χρήσεων για μικρής έκτασης οικίας, μεγάλων αστικών κέντρων

Abstract

The purpose of this diploma thesis is the study and design of a multifunctional desk for work and other activities in apartments with small surface area in big cities. These apartments, that have small surface area in square meters, are becoming more and more popular nowadays. Despite this fact, there are various functionality problems that arise in places like that, since the limited space combined with the users’ needs requires good design and organization to create a smooth workplace environment with peaceful and serene conditions, that would allow for reinforcement of creativity and productivity of employees, as well as smooth and quality living inside them. The furniture that we are about to design is the instrumental connection between the desk and the professional user aiming to increase their productivity and living conditions. Knowing that the user’s state of mind in the space that they work daily is dependent on the environment and the arrangement, a desk will be designed that won’t symbolize work or another function but will be adapted enabling each user to create, to innovate regarding the needs of the working space as well as to be active in the same space as the desk, changing its function accordingly. In the current thesis, at first, research will take place regarding the desks that are being used lately from people living in urban areas to achieve their activities about the work, the kind of the user, the context in which they are used as well as other factors that could influence the design process. More specifically, we will analyze the tiny apartments and the needs of their residents as well as ideas for bettering their everyday living. Moreover, a thorough description and analysis will take place regarding the form, logic, and nature of the under-design product, while specified preliminary sketches and the parametric system cad will be presented. Finally, a desk will be designed in detailed and will be presented, as well as all the information about its construction, analysis, and production. In this way, all the stages of a design process will be presented from theory to the final product.

Σκοπός της διπλωματικής εργασίας είναι η μελέτη και ο σχεδιασμός ενός επίπλου γραφείου πολλαπλών χρήσεων, για εργασία και λοιπές δραστηριότητες σε διαμερίσματα μικρής κάλυψης επιφανείας σε τετραγωνικά μέτρα για μεγάλα αστικά κέντρα. Οι χώροι κάλυψης μικρού αριθμού τετραγωνικών μέτρων για διαμονή και εργασία γίνονται ολοένα και πιο δημοφιλής στην εποχή μας. Παρόλα αυτά δημιουργούνται διάφορα προβλήματα λειτουργικότητας στους χώρους αυτούς μιας και ο περιορισμένος χώρος σε συνδυασμό με τις ανάγκες των χρηστών απαιτεί καλό σχεδιασμό και οργάνωση ώστε να δημιουργηθεί ένα περιβάλλον ομαλού workspace, με συνθήκες ηρεμίας και γαλήνης για την ενδυνάμωση της δημιουργικότητας και την σωστή παραγωγικότητας των εργαζομένων, αλλά και της ομαλής και ποιοτικής διαβίωσης μέσα σε αυτά. Το έπιπλο που θα μελετήσουμε και θα σχεδιάσουμε είναι η οργανική σύνδεση μεταξύ του γραφείου και του επαγγελματία χρήστη, με απώτερο σκοπό την αύξηση της παραγωγικότητάς του αλλά και τον συνθηκών του διαβίωσης. Γνωρίζοντας ότι η ψυχική ηρεμία του χρήστη στον χώρο όπου εργάζεται καθημερινά εξαρτάται άμεσα από το περιβάλλον και τη σύνθεση αυτού, θα σχεδιαστεί ένα έπιπλο γραφείου το οποίο δεν θα συμβολίζει την εργασία ή κάποια άλλη λειτουργία αλλά θα προσαρμόζεται από τον εκάστοτε χρήστη ώστε να είναι σε θέση να δημιουργήσει αλλά και να καινοτομήσει όσον αφορά τις απαιτήσεις του εργασιακού του χώρου αλλά και να δραστηριοποιείται στον ίδιο χώρο με αυτό αλλάζοντας την λειτουργία του επίπλου αυτού.
